Highland Park Cafeteria was opened by Sallie Goodman on August 24, 1925. Since then they have served authentic comfort food, and it is still prepared and served by many who have been with the HPC for more than 20 years – including a cook, Mr. Bowen, who was hired in 1956. In 1981, it was named “America’s Cafeteria” in a review by the New York Times. Come by and enjoy freshly prepared homestyle meals in a clean, friendly atmosphere.
