Steel City Pops to open at Preston Royal Shopping Center in October

Steel City Pops is opening an additional location in Preston Royal Shopping Center.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ... popsicles? Well, if they're Steel City Pops gourmet popsicles we do, and that's why Steel City Pops is opening another location in the Preston Royal Shopping Center where Baskin-Robbins used to be.

Construction is slated to begin in a few weeks, and the shop will open around early to mid October, according to Steel City Pops owner Jim Watkins.

The popular popsicle shop made our list of best ice cream and frozen treat shops in Dallas-Fort Worth (which, by the way, is always good to have on hand) as well as 10 places to find a meal and more on Lower Greenville.

Now, you'll also be able to find them while you run errands and go shopping at Preston Royal near Tom Thumb, Barnes and Noble and more.

"We have a lot of customers that are driving from that Preston Royal area to our shop on Lower Greenville, so we thought it was a really good fit for us to be in that neighborhood because we already have a lot of customers making that drive. Also, we're introducing our product to new people in that area," Watkins said.
